Vancouver entrepreneurs ‘High On Life’ transforming Venue into indoor circus
A group of high school friends from Vancouver have been redefining entrepreneurial business for the past year and getting some serious traction with their online presence. Alexey, Parker, Ryker and Max started off with their YouTube channel “Sundayfundayz” back in 2012, filming and documenting travel, skits, pranks and their overall zest for life. By building a social media platform based around their YouTube channel, they’ve gained partnerships with brands such as Contiki Holidays and Redbull Canada, allowing them to travel across the globe. They’re also constantly involved in charity work like being an official sponsor of the Vancouver Underwear Affair, and working with Change Heroes and Free the Children to build schools in developing countries.
Fast-forward to 2013 and 10,000,000 views later, they’ve incorporated under the name “High on Life Enterprise INC,” created a clothing line that sells their bright and positive message to their online audience, and built an entertainment and production company that has thrown some of Vancouver’s most unique events and parties.
The next event the team is putting together is called “The High on Life Circus” and will be hosted by WTF Fridays at Venue Nightclub on Friday, November 8.
The event will feature contortionists, silk dancers, body-painted animal dancers, ring leaders performing an array of acts, and even a tightrope specially installed in the rafters for the occasion. There will be carnival games, cotton candy and cherry noir-flavoured snow cones, as well as industrial sized CO2 canons blasting the dance floor to keep the crowd tamed. The main attraction of the night is a live Vocal and Dj Set performed by Van city vocalist and actress, Donna Benedict,o and DJ Ramble.
